ICHP PGA, along with international PR consultancy Managing Reputation, have developed a one day training course to teach the skills and techniques needed to promote clinical hypnotherapy and your own practice through the local media.
The course will include an introduction to the full range of media channels, their differing styles, needs and priorities, development of topics which will capture the attention of editors and producers, social media as a marketing tool, practical experience of broadcast interviews and training on how to approach local radio and newspapers.
The course will be delivered by experienced PR practitioners, journalists and broadcasters.
On completion of the course each participant will be presented with a media profile briefing on their home county. It will contain details of local radio stations including direct contact information for producers, researchers and presenters of target programmes and profiles of local print outlets including publication dates, house-style and editorial and journalist contacts.
Managing Reputation will work individually with participants to secure their first broadcast interview and print media coverage during the weeks after the course.
Participants in the course will be invited to follow-up workshops three, six and nine months after the course during which they can share their experiences of engaging with the media, tweak techniques and discuss future ideas.
